Dossier Library in Reviewer

The Dossier Library is your main hub for finding and opening dossiers. Every dossier that has been imported into Reviewer appears here. Think of it as your bookshelf of regulatory submissions.

Opening the Dossier Library #

Click Dossier Library in the sidebar menu. The library opens showing all imported dossiers.

Library Views #

The view selector dropdown at the top lets you switch between six views:

View What It Shows Best For
All Dossiers Every imported dossier Browsing your full library
All Submissions Individual submissions across all dossiers Finding a specific sequence number
Recently Viewed Dossiers Dossiers you opened recently Quickly getting back to what you were working on
Recently Viewed Submissions Submissions you opened recently Resuming review of a specific submission
Recently Viewed Documents Documents you recently viewed Finding that document you were just looking at
Favorites Dossiers you have marked as favorites Quick access to frequently reviewed dossiers
Tip: The Recently Viewed lists are maintained automatically. Every time you open a dossier, submission, or document, it gets added to the relevant “Recently Viewed” list. This is the fastest way to resume your work.

Tile View vs. List View #

Two toggle buttons in the top-right let you switch the display:

Tile View (grid icon) — Shows dossiers as visual cards with the dossier name, application type, and key metadata. Best for browsing when you know what the dossier looks like.

List View (list icon) — Shows dossiers as a sortable table with columns for name, status, dates, and document count. Best for finding a specific dossier by sorting or scanning a long list.

Finding a Specific Dossier #

If you have many dossiers, use these tools to narrow down the list:

Search #

Type in the search bar (top-right of the dossier grid) to filter dossiers by name. The filter applies instantly as you type.

Filter #

Click the filter icon (funnel) in the toolbar to open the filter panel. You can filter by application type, status, date range, and other metadata fields. Click Save Filter to save a filter for reuse.

Sort #

In List View, click any column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order.

Opening a Dossier #

This is the most important action in the library. To open a dossier and start reviewing:

  1. Find the dossier you want in the library (use search, filter, or browse).
  2. Double-click the dossier tile or row to open it.
  3. The Table of Contents (TOC) view opens, showing the submission’s eCTD structure in the left panel.
  4. Expand folders in the tree to browse documents. Click any document to view it in the right panel.
Note: When you open a dossier, Reviewer loads the most recent submission by default. If the dossier contains multiple submissions (sequences), use the submission selector at the top of the TOC view to switch between them.

Toolbar Actions #

Button What It Does
Delete (trash icon) Removes the selected dossier(s) from Reviewer. This does not delete the source files from the repository.
Export Dossiers (export icon) Exports the dossier list as a downloadable file for reporting or record-keeping.
Refresh (via right-click menu) Reloads the library from the server. Use this if a colleague just imported a dossier and you do not see it yet.
Important: Deleting a dossier removes all associated submissions, annotations, and links from Reviewer. This cannot be undone. The original files in the repository are not affected.

Favorites #

If you frequently review the same dossiers, mark them as favorites for quick access. Right-click a dossier and select Add to Favorites. Then use the Favorites view to see only your starred dossiers.
